We are pleased at Agusta to present this lovely example of British nostalgia. A Jaguar XJC 4.2 Coupe 4 speed manual from 1975 stands proud in our showroom, Its previous vendor has lovingly restored and invested in this vehicle over recent years, which hails testament today to its beautiful condition. The XJC is a two door Coupe version of Jaguars very successful XJ Series 2 saloons. It was produced in the mid to late 1970s and just under 10,500 were built for global distribution. This model meets us in the middle in 1975, combining the class of a sedan with the more sporty style of a coupe. With a sleek and aerodynamic silhouette that commands attention. Effortlessly blending classic lines alongside a low-slung symmetrical profile. Subtle cues of the power that lies beneath can be seen from the dual exhaust design at the rear. Equipped with a 4.2 litre inline-six engine, producing around 245bhp and 283 lb of maximum torque. It offers smooth acceleration and effortless cruising capabilities, making it an ideal choice for touring. The engine is complemented by a four-speed gearbox believed to only have been a very rare option for vehicles produced in 1975 which of course delivers power to the rear wheels. A luxuriously comfortable interior which can accommodate up to four passengers in its plush, original, black leather seats. The dashboard features a classic layout adorned with a wood veneer patina with chrome accents throughout. Creature comforts include, operational sunroof also a very rare option that you will not see on other XJCs, quartz clock, climate control, and a high-quality sound system. Over the course of 2019 - 2023 this vehicle has been subject to over 11,700 worth of parts and labour from the renowned JagShop in Shepherds Bush. See below for details:, Today the car drives and presents very well. Structurally, you have peace of mind knowing that the usual XJC achilles-heel rust-prone-areas have already been properly tackled. The paint has some minor marks in areas but is overall very presentable. The interior is original and has a great patina. The front drivers seats both have tears in the bases but we could discuss arranging to have these repaired or replaced for the new owner however the original patina of the leather has some charm to it. To drive, the car is superb. It is smooth, comfortable and powerful - just as it should be. This 1975 Jaguar XJC 4.2 would be a prized possession for any car enthusiast or collector. Representing a significant part of British automotive heritage and showcasing the craftsmanship and engineering prowess of Jaguar during that era. Owning such a vehicle would allow one to experience the nostalgia and timeless appeal of what was once British motoring. These models as we all know are becoming more and more scarce with the manual 4.2 being almost impossible to finddo not wait these Jaguars are appreciating fast and so they should be
