Used 1990 Porsche 911 3.0 RS Iroc Evocation

Here at Lakeside Classics we are very pleased to offer for sale this beautiful Porsche 911 3.0 RSR IROC Evocation. This car has covered less than 3000 miles since its rebuild and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. This fine example is finished in the period colour combination of blood orange with black hide. The donor car was carefully selected for this RSR IROC build, with the chosen model being a C16 (UK) 1990 911 (964) Carrera 4. The 964 is believed by many to be be the best donor for Evocations and backdated cars as they offer the perfect blend of classic looks but also benefit from the advances in technology that the late air-cooled Porsches offered such as Power steering and ABS, however they are often not chosen due to the 964 values being so high compared to the earlier 911 alternatives such as the SC and 3.2 Carrera. The body was stripped and rebuilt with full photographic records to IROC RSR specification with steel RSR arches. The removal of sound deadening and thick glue alone took two weeks. The car was married with a lightweight ducktail, front and rear bumpers and bespoke design Custom Cages full roll cage for safety. The aforementioned air conditioning and front oil coolers remain in original position leaving possibility for a large oil cooler in the front opening. Furthermore the car has been fitted with a Light Perlon carpet set, a racing Momo steering wheel and RSR bucket seats helping to complete the feel of a true RSR IROC inspired driving experience. The car has been fitted with lightweight doorcards and straps, echoing Ferdinand Porsches philosophy of the importance of the power to weight ratio that contributed to so much of Porsches success in this era. The 3.6 litre engine was rebuilt 60,000 miles ago and has been extremely well maintained since which is clearly evident by all of the invoices in the history file. The car is complete with an extensive history file throughout the cars life as well as over 30,000 worth of invoices for the rebuild as well as a photographic history.
