1956 MGA Roadster 1500. Tartan Red with Black Leather upholstery and white piping, Black hood and mohair tonneau cover. This stunning MGA has just been subject to a full body restoration and presents in beautiful condition. It is a genuine U.K right hand drive matching numbers car and has been with its last owner for 22 years. It has its original buff log book and still retains its original UKF 500 registration number. First registered on 21st March 1956 and supplied to Bool Bros Ltd of Upper Warwick Street in Liverpool. Having covered just 83,000 miles which is believed correct due to a large number of mot certificates dating back many many years. The MG is fitted with a 5 speed gearbox and quick shift lever this is a fantastic addition to an already fantastic sports roadster. During the last keepers tenure the engine was fully rebuilt, the seats re trimmed in leather and a period wooden rimmed steering wheel fitted. The engine was subjected to a full overhaul with a rebore, new pistons, flowed head ports, crank refurb and new bearings, essentially a new engine allowing the original engine number to be retained to preserve provenance whilst improving reliability and performance. The standard gearbox which would be a limiting factor on todays high speed roads has been swapped out for a Ford 5 speed and this combined with a short shift lever allows for a sportier feel and brisker acceleration. To keep things cool there has been fitted a Kenlowe radiator along with a thermostatic fan which will improve reliability and also a full stainless steel exhaust system that no doubt will be a song to the ears. A modernised 12V battery and coil now supply the car with power, replacing the now defunct 6V, dual battery setup that is becoming less common today. Having had long term owners, this cars paperwork trail is very solid with a plethora of receipts, historic MOT documents registration booklet as previously mentioned and matching engine and chassis numbers as per the registration book. The chrome on the car is equally as good as the paintwork and upholstery and the underside very solid and waxoyled throughout. Although now tax and mot exempt a fresh mot will be applied upon sale for your own peace of mind. Absolutely any inspection welcomed. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Part exchange considered. Free U.K mainland delivery. Please contact us for any further information. Lots more pictures and a video on our website and Facebook pages. Usual dealer facilities including secure storage and transport solutions for import / export.
