We recently purchased this great looking VW Passat from a dealership in Eastbourne where it was taken in part exchange and road tested it over 150 miles back to our base in Weldon. The car started first time from cold, the 148 BHP engine sounded healthy and it powered through each of it's 6 gears comfortably. The gearbox changed up/down easily, the clutch bites at the correct point and there was no clunks or vibrations from either. We tested the Passat on a variety of roads and it performed really well on all of them, it sat at 70mph on the motorway happily and it handled the back roads nicely with no knocks from the suspension over bumps. The interior of the vehicle looks excellent, it has grey cloth seats with contrasting brown door panels/dash trims and looks tidy with minimal signs of wear. All electrics inside the car worked as they should including the cruise/limiter, dab radio, parking sensors and sat nav. The VW would make an ideal family car as it's incredibly spacious with plenty of legroom for passengers and it's also economical to run, costing £20 per year in road tax, it's in the group 19 insurance bracket and it returns impressive mpg of over 67 miles combined. Service history is supplied, we have the service book and some supporting paperwork/invoices. We have just had it serviced ready for sale at 84324 miles which included a new wheel bearing. We have put the Passat through our 47 point safety check which came back from the garage with a clean bill of health.
